Left Parbold. Weather OK dry at least. Stopped in Wigan as I remembered that the church had a William Morris stained glass window. However the church is only open on Saturdays (it is Friday)! Bought a few supplies before setting off for the Leigh branch. The repaired lock and its partner are still hard work and Paul took ages to fill lock 2 due to the leakage at the bottom gate. It was a longer cruise than we remembered to Pennington Flash and we moored at 6.30pm. No views of the flash though as there was already 7 or 8 boats in the prime spots.
