Day 77 - Kidsgrove to Etruria

6 miles, 1 lock, Harecastle tunnel

We are off again. Up one lock then an hour wait to enter Harecastle tunnel. Chatted to family on hore boat who were more anxious about the tunnel after the safety talk as we were reminded of last year's accident. The man came to look around the boat as thinking of buying one.

Cruised along to Etruria for water and pump out only to find that the pump out machine would not accept our prepaid cards. CRT man arrived and gave us a free one. Started but soon realised that there was nowhere for sewage to go as drain overflowed. Pooh!

Decided to moor and wait for dyno-rod to arrive! Quiet night watching TV and lady from flats opposite feeding and watering the geese.
